I've heard that it may be a matter of deleting and re-adding the phone to vehicle but that was a solution that worked for a couple people vs. stated fix from Rivian.
I know people like that as well, it's not about the phone though, it's about the iaccess to apps of their choosing, personal data and preferences. Rivian is slowly starting to check some of those boxes, and the native software is way better than most manufacturers but Apples got a 20 year head...
Going back to ICE vehicles and attempting to put them in park using the cruise or wiper controls on the right hand steering column stalk! I almost had a rental roll down a driveway in a parking garage when I came to stop, hit the cruise control button, opened the door and started to step out.
Agree that the lack of a consistent way to communicate with the SC, and in my experience a lack of timely responses while in service is a bit annoying. The constant bugs though, hasn't been my experience going on four years now with gen1 and gen2. Issues, sure but nothing that really caused...
Apple music seems a bit glitchy to me, it will work fine for a while, then just start spinning the wheels and act like it's losing data connection. I just disabled the option that was added in the update to adjust based on connectivity to see if that helps.
I wanted something electric, didn't really love Tesla after driving Model 3 (really fun, like a go kart but to low to the ground) and Model Y (really liked it) I could have talked myself into the Y, but prefer to have more storage space and sit a bit higher off the road + covid shortages were...
I've got SC closer to me, and I'm fine waiting if they can knock stuff off in a few hours, but I'm also pretty clear with them that I cannot be without a car. They have enough used stock now that there shouldn't be a problem providing loaners.
Not buying the lifetime subscription on a lease, but I'll pay the $50 for a month here and there if I'm driving a longer distance. It's pretty nice on long boring drives up and down the freeways.
The Amazon Fresh (RIP) in my area had a couple of those but they were free and handy to use during the winter at 5:00 AM when I was at the gym next door to hold cabin temp on the days it was freezing.
I'm assuming the first ones available will all be closer to $60K which is fine, though I'm in a lease for two more years anyways. Really hoping I'll need to decide between R2 and R3 when it comes time to make another swap.
