I suspect the launch will get better from here. They're doing some data collection right now based on real data and how people are configuring final orders. Always a chance this new method doesn't work well, but they are at least trying to significantly improve the experience.
At the block party, it wasn't clear how good the haptic wheels were. I wasn't necessarily amazed but just assumed it was because the car was static and maybe software not dialed in.
I've seen more than a few comments on this and noticed that Kyle mentioned it in his newest R2 launch video.
Coastal Cloud interior won't have the grainy steering wheel cap that looks like it has orange peel on it. The final production version of the cap apparently will fix that to some...
If i'm spending almost $70k with tax on a car, I appreciate the long video. If there was any time for a long video, this would be the time. Thanks Kyle! I'm watching yours first!
That doesn't sound that bad then. Other person in Florida made it seem like there was potentially extra heat from other sources like the motors and HVAC. Might have more to do with their southern location than frunk?
RivianTrackr(Kryptonlogic) had a post pointing at production issues with Esker Silver but it's been fixed now. So we should see a ton of Esker silvers soon. Other colors just had a head start.
I probably used my full hand when I tested this at a block party so didn't notice too much. I did make sure a shorter family member could reach and close properly though. IIRC, she closed too hard the first time.
this guy just brought it down with one finger and then give it a little push at the end once it's down at the 22:42 mark in the video
