  1. Two drivers: Rivian picks wrong phone

Thanks for the feedback: I did look for a setting to adjust - glad to know I'm not crazy. Hopefully its on the nice to have / easy to change in the future.
  2. Two drivers: Rivian picks wrong phone

This is a weird one and it’s happened a few times - wondering if anyone else experienced / is there a setting I’m missing? Some other cars I’ve had specifically allow you to set connection priorities. We start to get in my 2025 R1S and the Rivian switches driver to my wife. I’m setup as owner...
  3. No Key Detected - WTF?

Not sure - but fwiw, mine sits in a detached garage pretty far from my phone. But it does seem like a slow wake up issue
  4. No Key Detected - WTF?

Periodically I’ve noticed this issue, (prior to most recent update). Largely appears to me to be after waking the car in my garage - but other than that, no rhyme or reason
  5. Are supercars POINTLESS? Corvette Z06 vs Rivian R1T: DRAG RACE (by Carwow)

Own sports car + R1Ss … two totally different animals. R1S will best my sports car off the line (by a little)… first corner and it’s game over. I take the R1S when it’s raining, need to haul something or need to sit inside with a/c on waiting for the kids. Choose the sports car every chance I get.
  6. DIY Tire Rotation?

Agreed - just weird. Def diff wear pattern than every prior ice suv
  7. DIY Tire Rotation?

I do the same - often swapping wheels between trips if it’s going to be a while before we head back into the snow. Feels odd to put the better tread up front (historically have put the better tread in back). Take me 45-60min taking my time. I do use a batt torque wrench + a wheel dolley
  8. Tire Replacement(S) and Rivian Alignment

Yup: can’t get alignment locally due to probs with needing to reset something in the software - I replaced front set of tires on both Rivians @ 10ish thousand miles and got them (Rivian) to at least comp the alignment.
  9. From an EV9 to an R1S – My Experience & Opinions

Not to hijack, but I think lower kneel is on the next release fwiw
  10. Buttons on steering wheels

Makes a ton of sense to me: keeps the whole minimalist aesthetic with great no look controls. Especially since no paddles behind this wheel.
  11. Buttons on steering wheels

Still miss my RR buttons on the steering wheel - they were tactile and touch capacitance; functions would change depending on different conditions. One spot that would work well is the back of the steering wheel. The Jeep Grand Cherokee had buttons on the back (15? Years ago) for entertainment...
  12. Rivian could have made better winter design choices.

And, often: a whiz bang demo to impress fails to prove necessary in the real world. One auto writer said it best “door handles did not need a redesign”.
  13. $2500 Autonomy+ one time purchase now an option on Rivian configurator

TBH, I’m not going to pay as just not good enough where I generally drive (many single lane mtn rds.) Happy to have acc + lane assist for long drives. I do see commuters using this a lot and know of many T drivers that like their version to get them home after some cocktails. Neither really my...
  14. Purchasing frustration

Since they just dump it and aren’t in the used car business, that leaves very little margin. I had Rivian deliver my R1S and Carvana pick up a car - everything done online and super, super easy, FWIW
  15. Vehicle Location - App FAIL

Recently had random location probs on a 1 year old 2025 Gen 2 R1S - the service center confirmed probs and replaced a wireless module (although I’m unclear what they replaced)
