  1. Range Rover EV

That's one way of looking at it, indeed.
  2. Range Rover EV

Oh, I forgot the most important feature....it has CarPlay 😁 .
  3. Range Rover EV

  4. Growing efficiency Gap: R2 w/ 21" vs. 20" tire sets

Stop engaging with the OP, just stop already! That's how this thread will die.
  5. Growing efficiency Gap: R2 w/ 21" vs. 20" tire sets

Clearly it’s tongue & cheek. Unless the administrator is like Trump….and has the thinnest skin on the planet 😂.
  6. Growing efficiency Gap: R2 w/ 21" vs. 20" tire sets

Start talking politics, that usually shuts things down. I’ll go first, it’s all Trumps fault the R2 range fell short of EPA. Rivian was inspired by the leader of the free world. Talks a big game but reality is far from it. Ha!
  7. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

It's truly amazing how much energy is in a gallon of gasoline, and equally amazing how much of that energy is wasted in an ICE. The gas motor in the RAV4 is 40 percent thermally effecient....at best!
  8. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

I believe they still install the seats through the door openings. Main reason for cost savings, glass is cheaper than steel, and no need for a full headliner.
  9. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

The Standard trim still has a glass roof, it lacks the drop down rear glass though along with a few other interior options. Makes sense to keep it on lower trim as to maintain streamlined production.
  10. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

Always tradeoffs. The Q4 has much less power compared to R2P, very limited off road capability and no self driving is going to be available on current model.
  11. New R2 Purchase w/ 700 Miles Road Trip Thoughts

Congrats on your new R2! Sounds like overall you love it, like others said, try to get an aftermarket shade for the roof and ceramic window tint for heat blocking...especially in TX. I hear ya on doing 80, it's simply going with the flow where I drive most of time too.
  12. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

I can see Rivian adding an electrochromic glass roof as an option some day like they do on the R1.
  13. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

With black interiors, they sure help brighten things up! The A/C keeps cool just fine in every vehicle I’ve had with these. I test drove R2 on 95 degree sunny summer day, had no issues.
  14. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

I meant 240 miles @80mph with battery starting at 80 down to 10 percent. I believe out of spec got 340 miles on a base Cayenne @ 70mph. And it charges like a beast. Edit: the OOS test was 100-0 so not quite there for the 80mph goal
  15. R2 Range Limitations and Rivian's Response

Nah, 240 miles is plenty which is 3 hrs of driving. But give me a nice fat charge curve! I think the new Cayenne is close.
