I didn't post on discord, but I did email Lukas but (only a couple hours ago) haven't gotten a response yet. I also ordered (from Comma) a long ODB-c cable to try it. My current thinking is that it is either a cable problem or a problem with the Luka harness.
Just got my kit today and hooked everything up. The comma 4 comes up and I got SunnyPilot installed, but everytime I try to do anything I get an error that it disconnected from the can bus and says it is potentially a bad cable. I've checked everything several times, rebooted the vehicle, and...
Honestly, I'm surprised the Lightning made it this long. What Ford doesn't seem to understand is that people don't just by EV's because they are electric. People buy EV's because they are arguably better than ICE vehicles for their primary use case. If you build a truck that is essentially the...
It's my understanding that 6 AWG NM-B is not allowed for a 60 amp (breaker) circuit direct wired to your charger - which would have a continuous 48 amp load. It's fine for a 50 amp breaker wired to an NEMA 14-50 outlet in which case the charger would draw a continuous 42 amp load. 6 AWG THNN...
Will do. I assume that holding it down does emergency braking or something?
If so, maybe (as others suggested) something like pressing the scroll wheel would be more appropriate. As I said in other posts though - I don't care how they do it. My argument is that It's basic functionality on...
Using the end of stalk button for resume at speeds above about 5 miles an hour would not affect its function for park. When you are moving above about 5 mph and press the end of stalk button the UI simply tells you to slow down before engaging park. It's a relatively useless message. Regardless...
Yeah I honestly wouldn't care how "resume" was implemented. I was just throwing out the end of stalk button idea because beyond a couple miles an hour pressing it gives you a warning that you have to slow down to shift into park.. duh...
Regardless of how it is implemented. "Resume" as part of...
I understand your perspective. Likewise, I acknowledge that maybe there aren't many people who use it as regularly as I do. Regardless, what I can't understand is:
Why would it have been left off in the first place? It's a normal sub function of cruise and almost every vehicle with cruise has...
Implemented properly, "resume" wouldn't affect your ability to engage cruise exactly as you do today. For example (as I suggested) using the end of stalk button to resume wouldn't effect existing cruise functionality in any way. However, it would add a feature that is normal and expected on any...
I gotcha.... but "frills" vs "basics"... On any other car, cruise comes with "resume" just like it comes with a button for "accelerate" and "decelerate". "Resume" is a basic. It's expected. It's "normal". Prioritize basics.
OK - I understand your point, but that's why I'm asking others to chime in. I can't believe I'm the only person that thinks it is a useful and basic feature.
Honestly, I cant understand why "resume" wouldn't be there in the first place. I can't remember any vehicle I've owned that has has...
On my other cars that support "resume" I use cruise everywhere. It's a great feature to make sure I'm not speeding. If I come up to a stop I just hit the brakes, stop, hit resume when I start going again.
Regardless... rather than questioning "why I use it"... I'd ask, why can't Rivian add a...
Not sure I understand your post.
Every car I've owned in the last 20+ years has had "cruise" and "resume" as part of the cruise feature. Never heard of any standard feature about bike rack brake lights.
