I have owned a T for 3.5 years and my wife has owned an S for 3 years. I had a 12 volt issue and my wife no issues.
I have owned the best of Range Rover, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and Porsche… the Rivians are the best vehicles I have ever owned… truly amazing.
R1T gen 1s have 2 12 volts… both covered under warranty… starting w gen 1.5… yes there is a 1.5, they have 1 12 volts as do the gen 2s… my 2 were replaced no charge… I suspect an update fried them, but only a hypothesis.
I don’t think so… we have a home on the beach and driving on the beach is permissible… so my R1T has seen plenty of sand… no issues… I am guessing ice is a much bigger problem… as for AZ. We don’t have sandstorms in S Texas… the year I lived in Gilbert AZ… beautiful, but the sand storms were a trip…
I have had my R1T approaching 2.5 years and my trip from home to our beach house has consistently left me with 50 miles of range upon completion. In the last 3 months, I now have 70… not sure what has changed? Yes, sometimes better or worse w wind or cold, but on the average… now 20 miles better…
What the hell! You can’t write how incredible your Rivian is. You have to complain about panel gaps, stereo, cs centers, expectations of a $90k vehicle…. Or, you are right… we also love our two Rivian vehicles… not perfect but superior to all of our top of the line MB, BMW, Porsche, Range Rover…...
