I drove an R2 at the Van Nuys store yesterday. Very impressive build quality both inside and out. Perfect step in height for my old knees. The frunk did not open or close smoothly but still better than any of my Teslas. The ventilated front seats were kinda noisy but otherwise the car was...
This is a great idea.
The R2 is a brand new vehicle. It will likely have teething problems that you should be ready for. Sell the Subie in a few months.
Rivian is taking over the old Subaru dealership in the Ventura Auto Mall. The Subaru dealership moved down the street into a larger facility a few months ago. This week I saw a Rivian screen came up on the big, garish Auto Mall marquee they have. There is no Rivian branding on the old Subaru...
I have had two of the original Tesla wall “chargers” since 2015. They have been completely trouble free. After literally 1,000’s of charges each they have never failed to juice up our Tesla’s.
They are each installed on a 50a circuit and deliver up to 40a to the car.
It is due to the sheer number of EV’s out here. In the neighborhood around the Venice space yesterday (unfortunately the only place to park) the majority of the cars were EV’s - Teslas, Rivians, Polestars, Hyundais, Porsches…. I had to park 4 blocks away.
I was able to answer one of my two questions about the R2 at the Venice event yesterday. I confirmed that the R2 has a soft close frunk lid but the person I spoke to could not say whether a Dynamic Roof was available. It did not look like any of the R2’s there had a electrochromic shaded roof...
Very disappointed they only had one R2 open to sit in while I was there. When I was there just before 11am the wait to sit in it was about an hour. Ridiculous.
The outside of R2 looked great and the size is just about perfect for my needs. I am looking forward to doing a test drive.
No survey here. March 8 2024 reservation holder (Day 2?) and not a Rivian owner. I did answer the one question “would you want a Performance model” survey online.
