I've kept the truck plugged in at home but have continued to commute to work and leave it in the parking lot all day. I have not had an issue, but I have moved my external jump box from the frunk into my work bag so I would have easier access to it if I needed it to jump the 12V to unlock the...
No I didn't miss it, but if the truck thinks it can't receive that station it hides it. It's admittedly been a while since I've tried to use FM in my truck because it was so frustrating so I was going a bit off of memory. I think my main complaint is that it automatically applies what used to...
Someone posted earlier that the BOM for an AM/FM/SXM receiver was around $35. Even if we assume SXM was more than half of that cost, an estimate of $2 is still off by an order of magnitude.
The other issue I haven't seen anyone mention is how completely awful Rivian's FM implementation is in...
Just to follow up, I did indeed get a mobile service offer for a week sooner than my service center appointment.
In the meantime I am seeing a couple of small issues and I wonder if they are related. My truck won’t do the latest update (just silently fails) and it seems to fail to update the...
The author did a pretty poor job explaining exactly WHY these headlights have taken so long to cross the pond, and the article also unfairly characterizes the US regulators as having overcomplicated things by not "adopt(ing) the international standard and instead (drawing) up separate, stricter...
There were three different emails that went out:
1. Invitation to order.
2. Notification that you will receive an invitation to order in the next several weeks.
3. The email that you're referring to, letting you know you will have an invitation estimate by the end of June.
There appear to have been three different emails that Rivian sent out yesterday (in descending order of priority):
1. Invitation to order
2. "You will be invited to order in a few weeks, keep an eye on your email"
3. The OP's email (I got the same one): "We'll let you know when you can expect...
They are available in Boston at the showroom, but not from the nearby service centers. Edit: I suppose they are never available from the service centers, but there are none available at the Canton, MA service + demo center.
Just got the same alert on my '23 R1T and scheduled an appointment for 3 weeks from now. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get a call next week offering me a mobile service sooner. I live about 15 mins from the nearest service center.
Does it at least stop if you resist it (R1 at any rate)? Our Volvo is like that: I can open the tailgate in the garage and grab it before it hits the ceiling and it stops when it feels my resistance.
My similarly petty complaint is that I hate the light-colored airbag cover. If the entire steering wheel were black, I would consider the light interior, but the two-tone steering wheel just gives me the ick ;)
I think the issue is that the "exposed location" is smaller than the lifting block on many lifts and jacks. If you just used a regular floor jack there the bodywork surrounding the rubber pad could be damaged.
