Man. I was just up there like a week before these stations opened. Though I did hit up the others around bend. The one north of bend was way better! The one south of bend was mud and ice.
Need to keep in mind the Rivian is a 400V vehicle. It need lots of amps to reach the ~215kw that it maxes out at, about 500amps! Many chargers are 800V but current limited to 125amps. These units you will see the charge rate slowly ramp up over the course of the session as the voltage raises...
It turns out it was not brake fluid. It was an overflow of light weight oil in the reduction gear on the motors. Not sure if its user serviceable, at least without taking out the front trunk.
You can find a specifications plate/sticker if you look around the back side of the chargers maybe near the ground. It will say the rated input/output voltages and amperages. I have seen a few that have not weathered very well and are fading and pealing off.
I got a battery conditioning message in LA last week. It was about 100F that day and was charging using a EA 500A charger. I was only getting 125kw. I forgot to take a picture of the charge but the roll back was occurring about at the 80% SoC drop off and so did not get that much slowdown. I...
I can tell you for sure the Pacifica PHEV is not high clearance! Mine scrapes the ground all the time. So much that when I got my R1T I was too chicken at first to go up a curb. Guessing that could be fixed with bigger tires or stronger coil overs on the shocks?
I too had a case of all about the bass, no treble! The gps navigation from my drive from SF to LA was all in the bass. After the truck was resting from a charge the sound was working again.
Got my truck back from the service center. They reported that the latch I had was able to be snapped into place after unusual amount of force. They agreed this was out of spec and replaced the cross bars with new ones. The new cross bars work much better though one is a bit reluctant but manageable.
My appointment with the service center came due on Tuesday. The expectation when I first took delivery, was if a visit to service center was needed that my vehicle would be picked up by flat bed and a loaner truck given. This did not occur, they mentioned that they have no loaner trucks and no...
Just waiting for the San Francisco service center to come get the truck next Tuesday. They did not sound like they have any loaner trucks. They booked me a rental on their dime, save for the gas.
I guess they only have two service centers this part of California. In Sacramento and San...
Off the cuff. Its not branded as Yakima but rather Rivian. But it is not from Normal or they outsourced it to China. Guessing the QA procedures are still being worked out.
Sorry, no dice. Tried several suggestions to get the latch to engage. I am waiting for Rivian Support to take a look. They need to take in my truck for servicing leaking hydraulic fluid also.
