  1. Cost for 20” OEM full-size spare?

Has anyone mounted a full size spare to a swing out carrier on the R2 yet?
  2. R2 Drive Modes Explained (What They Do), Including Conserve Mode

well that answers what I was asking in this thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/r2-conserve-mode.61662/
  3. OS2 Arriving on R1 with 2026.31 OTA

Is there anything functionally different? Or is it just a cosmetic reskin effectively?
  4. Hopefully a sign of the future - Mobil Mart at Lee Vining , CA

I get the fish tacos there every time I charge :) Driving down 395 again this weekend - looking forward to it
  5. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

The larger battery variant I think will end up being similar in cost to the standard R2
  6. Mountain Driving Range

The Truckee RAN is going to be flooded once R2 production ramps up...
  7. Mountain Driving Range

I do the drive from Oakland to Truckee often. In the summer, I can make it with 20-25% remaining. It's very tight in the winter. Based on everything I've seen from the R2, you should be able to make it in the summer no problem, but cold weather may push you over the edge. I usually just stop...
  8. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Exactly. My R1T lifetime efficiency is similar to EPA MPGe when I *do not* account for charging losses.
  9. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Idiots in the back unite! You are missing the fact that EPA MPGe includes charging losses and EPA range does not. See my long explanation above.
  10. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Thank you @TexasBob for pointing that out. I just calculated the same number (300.96) the hard way just now above lol
  11. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

The reference to 96 MPGe (or any EPA MPGe value in my opinion) is not helpful as a comparative datapoint here. It's measuring something else. EPA MPGe as a measurement includes charging loses (see italicized emphasis in the definition here...
  12. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Rivian Roamer has R2 data logged for 23 vehicles over 15K miles thus far: It's still a small sample size compared to a full car population over a long period of time (and I assume people drive their car much spicier in the first couple thousand miles), but overall it looks like real world...
  13. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Why do you believe Rivian would not be deceptive? Most consumers will not educate themselves and trust advertised EPA values.
  14. R2 Conserve Mode

Sounds pointless based on that range estimation difference, which is why I presume they chose to not support this mode on the DM R1? But maybe they are including it on the R2 because RWD is nicer to drive than FWD?
  15. R2 Conserve Mode

I was taking a look at the R2 owner's guide and noticed it included conserve mode. Conserve mode notably isn't included on the dual-motor R1 as all purpose automatically it switches to single-motor FWD when efficient. The R2 documentation curiously also states that "Conserve mode automatically...
