  1. What’s Coming in Rivian’s 2026.15.30 Hotfix

This happened to me as well and I fixed it by rebooting the truck. When everything comes back up, a message will be on the display asking you to approve location tracking. There are also some additional selections you need to make in the Privacy tab to give the truck the permissions it needs...
  2. Why stock getting hammered last few days?

You can do the same thing with a IRA to Roth conversion. Take the tax hit now and all future growth will be untaxed. There is a lot of pessimism in this thread, and it is warranted. But I am optimistic that Rivian can make it on their own. The R2 must be cash flow positive. It's required. It...
  3. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

Right. Whatever you say. It must be true.

Good points. The cost to produce a Cybercab is likely less than the cost to produce the M3. And I assume the cost to produce the M3 is actually higher than what you say was reported, without any sources to back it up. So the cost to produce a Cybercab is $31k. 👍

So that $20k estimate is your made up number and has only speculation to back it up. I'll play that game. The cost to produce the Cybercab is $35k. 🤣

I bet they could transform the CT platform into something more people would buy. The mega cast thing for the body is probably the biggest barrier, but if they could modify it enough to build a big SUV, and then put nicer looking panels on it, and I bet it would be a big seller. For the right...
  7. What’s Coming in Rivian’s 2026.15.30 Hotfix

Mine has not changed as far as I can tell. Have you tried a hard reboot?
  8. Service Center Kinda Sucks?

There is no freaking way I would drive the truck if it was limited to 13 mph. They would either have to tow it to the SC, or send out a tech to my house again. My SC is 56 miles away. I could get there by avoiding the interstate, but I could cause an accident driving that slow on the...
  9. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

The new GX 550 was just coming out when I got the Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife. I wish I would have waited a little longer and got in the GX instead, but the Jeep is a great truck. Maybe when she finally decides she wants something new we'll do that. She doesn't want to go electric.
  10. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

Toyota/Lexus may be slow to go full electric, but that go slow, low risk approach is what makes them so amazingly reliable. I am not up to speed on the GX 550 issues, but those kind of things are very rare from Toyota. And you can bet it won't happen again, ever. Nobody takes quality more...

That is my favorite Lexus SUV. Great looking truck. Sorry to see you go.
  12. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

You are retired and don't need a third vehicle. This is not the popular opinion, but I highly recommend you wait a year. First year products are ALWAYS more defect prone than second year products. Always. Did I say "always"? You can wait a year. Rivian is not Ford, or GM, producing a first...
