Thanks Gerry.
I'm not having issues right now but if I have time today I might try and adapt the harness.
I really don't want to take that connector out of the AXM :-) There's not a lot of slack on the harness but hopefully I can get enough purchase to remove the power pins.
I'll have a play...
HI
@nick - thanks for the video. Cool to see the C4 in action.
I installed my comma 4 yesterday and per others the AXM connector is a pain but the rest not too bad. I have the longitudinal upgrade and fuse tap arriving Friday but sadly I'm leaving on a road trip tomorrow so that will have to...
Just returned from a 33 day trip to UK and battery went from 85% to 62%. I leave the car in shipping mode per other advice on this topic. This puts me at ~0.8% per day inline with the best that others are seeing. If you are seeing 2%+ something is not right.
While I agree that, on a daily...
I agree - it’s increasingly frustrating and difficult to penetrate the “customer service” front line and their canned ctrl-alt-del answers. I had a ticket open with them and specifically asked that it not be closed until there was an acknowledgment of the issue. That has mysteriously disappeared...
OP - did you get anywhere with this this? I'm having the same issue. I charge equipment for work and it is problematic to discover that the auto has reset and my stuff isn't charged. I'm trying to get Rivian to acknowledge this as an ongoing issue.
Can I ask why you refuse? I've kinda gone the other way because on my east coast trips Tesla is much cheaper than RAN even with the monthly subscription.

I agree. A lot of what Rivian say is well intentioned.... I'll give them that.
FYI: here's the link I found buried in a footnote on their charging info page.
I've noticed the same differential on recent road trips and I think Rivian have got this wrong.
It is particularly perplexing in states where electricity is cheap, eg NC. If Rivian pricing was close I'd support them but for me currently, using Tesla chargers saves significant $$.
Who knows...
Sorry to hear that! What is triggering the murder attempts or is it just random?
I've not experienced this on my road trips so far but I am using my "upgrade" judiciously.
Hi Jon
The weights are not as bad as they might appear and I wanted something that was easy to put on / remove. I'm sure there may be a more elegant solution. Let me know what you are using/used if you could.
I'm also considering the comma 3x as other contributors have recommended.
Mike
Rivian have effectively abandoned Gen 1 owners and will not be doing anything significant to improve driver+.
Here's a simple method to upgrade your highway driving experience.
Step 1: buy something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C36X1JY
(Note: I've done some experimenting and the 2lb...
It may be just a capacity issue? I was there a couple of weeks ago for the knuckle fastener safety check. Chatting to the advisors, they said they were booked solid and currently trying to hire more techs. Good luck, it's a great location and the staff there are excellent.
I tried Fedex and UPS and both come out around $240. That's prob too much for me.
Unless you can find a better deal I'll just wait until one comes available closer to home.
Please don't go to any trouble though.
Yes of course but I don't know how much it would cost tbh - I'll try and research that.
No rush so some kind of freight service would be fine.
Do you happen to know the unit weight?
On the Gear Shop it lists 79lbs some I'm guessing it will be somewhere around that.
