    If you can't afford to bump up your insurance from from statutory minimum coverage, you can't afford a Rivian. Get a Bolt instead.

    Like @graytag said, this is an absolute terrible idea. If you are at fault in an accident, your insurance will only pay that minimum coverage, and you are on the hook for any excess. You'd be surprised how cheap it is to increase coverages to WAY more than minimum levels. Do it right away.

    I'm really torn. I like the Coastal Cloud interior because the all black is just a little monochrome, but my last 2 BMWs have had a black headliner and I really like that. I would definitely get the all weather mats if I got Coastal Cloud.

    No one has to justify their reason to want an EV, and any individual's reasoning, if they are willing to share, does not have to line up with your reasoning. Just like anything else.

    Ok but are these features that are new from R1, and is the OS of R2 not based on the R1 platform? When a new iPhone with a new iOS comes out, features that were available in the prior gen aren't "missing".
