  1. Beginning to get frustrated...

My local SC has managed to turn what should have been a two hour appointment to get my alignment checked into a two-day affair (so far). Day one, they didn't get to it because other vehicles were on that lift (then why an appointment for said lift). Day two it was promised to be first up, but...
  2. Charging R1T at 30amp RV site Question

Can you charge with an adapter, yes. Should you charge with an adapter, I wouldn't. The reason being is some of those campsite light posts were installed decades ago and who knows what state those wires and connections are in and if they will be able to handle 30amps continuous load? As...
  3. R2 Hitch Insertion Depth?

2 bikes behind my R1T and there's about a 10-15% "Bike Rack Tax" on efficiency. I'd be curious with that R2 with 4 bikes + RTT + awning.
  4. Beginning to get frustrated...

Keep a a close watch on the wet front floorboards. The Gen 1's have been known to get a plugged AC condensate line and they will then start condensing inside the cabin. I just had mine in for the second repair on that two weeks ago. The fix is about 11.5 hours of labor as they need to remove...
  5. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

My 2023 R1T is worth about $50 at the moment (that's the split between low & high at Carmax for my area). If I take the $8500 for a service contract plus that $50k, I then have $58,500 in theoretical value of the truck. I love the Truck, but for that kind of money, I'd seriously think about...
  6. Right Rear Wheel Suddenly Shifted Rearward – Rivian Diagnosed Impact Damage, No Known Impact

I'd go back to them and say it looks like that toe link bold was fatigued and then finally snapped and broke. Although there is some scuff marks on the inside of the tire, I'd argue if I hit something hard enough to do that much damage, there would be more impact marks.
  7. Which R2 wheel size is everyone getting?

When the R1s came out, the 21" wheels were unique to Rivian and the only option was the Pirelli's. Once issue several people had when they were on a roadtrip and needed to replace that odd-ball tire size. Several times people were sidelined for a couple of days waiting for a replacement tire...
  8. 12 Volt Demons Caught Up With The Count

My 12v batteries were replaced about 1.5 years ago (three years of ownership here). I'm thinking I'll try the Ohmmu battery when this one goes. Regardless I'll likely replace it in the spring as that'll be about 2 years on the mini battery.
  9. 20" Inch Goodyear Territory AT 275/60/20 Factory AT tires + saving $

I have about 12k miles on my GY Terrirory tires since I installed them last July. My lifetime efficiency on my Gen 1 Quad R1T is 2.15 and that's a mix of city as well as long distance road trips.
  10. Would you go with 20" wheels or 21" wheels on Launch Edition R2?

I went with the 20" ATs on my R1T over the stalk 21s because there were replacement tires available. There were several people on here when the R1 first came out that had a flat and had to wait days to get a replacement tire. Since there was only one size in the market, you were stuck with the...
  11. Opinion on 20" tires for R1T

I switched from the stalk 20" Pirelli ATs to the the GY Terrirory 20" tires last summer. Before the switch I was getting about 1.95-1.99 for efficiency and since the switch I'm up to 2.15 on about 12k miles of driving. I've been pretty happy with these tires as they are very quiet (compared to...
  12. 21" Inch Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 275/55R21 on 21" Aero Wheels — First Impressions Review

1.99 is about what I got out of the stock Pirelli ATs in mixed driving so that seems to line up about the same. If I were to go with a new R1T, I'd likely go with the standard wheels (as I just can't stomach going through another set of those stalk Pirelli's). I'll be curious to hear your...
  13. Conserve mode effects on safety/handling?

I just completed a round trip from the SF Bay Area to the Seattle and didn't use Conserve. The two times I turned it on right after a charge stop, the Nav showed LESS battery % & mileage at my next charge stop than using AP. I have a Gen 1 Quad with the OEM GY 20" ATs. With my truck the...
  14. End of year two reliability issues.

36k miles on my 23 R1T. It was in last August for the infamous AC condensation making a wet floor mat issue, and last week for replacement of the front half shafts, ting washers, and the rear suspension recall. Once that was done, I'm now out on a 1900 mile road trip. Love the truck!
  15. 2026 R1T Tri - Less 1k miles - ADAC problems - warning icons

The next time it happens, press and hold your profile name on the center display (I believe yours is Woody based on the screen shots above). This will capture the logs for the tech to review. Also make a note of the day/time so you can point them to the correct log readings.
