  1. Amazon music after Alexa is discontinued on August 4?

We are in the same boat on both of our R1's. Both of us utilize the Alexa command with music, multiple times a day for the past 4 1/2 years. I am not interested in a work-around, sync to my phone, blah blah blah. I'm spoiled by simply getting in the vehicle and speaking.....1st World Problem
  2. Amazon music after Alexa is discontinued on August 4?

** I stand corrected, I received the email 57 minutes ago......** I have not seen this. Very disappointed. On all of our Rivian's we use Alexa voice commands for music and disabled Rivian Assistant. Odd considering Amazon's investment in the company.
  3. Rivian Care expands to 48 States, including California in October

I posted my experience already, others have too. All of us on the older contract are covered under the no‑limit repeat‑failure warranty. I’m running this truck into the dirt. 73k miles and still solid. Coil over swap planned when the air suspension gets too tired....
  4. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Agreed. This was a real-world test case. I'm not going to run my AC at higher than 68 in the summer, not a chance.
  5. R2 vs Model Y 70-MPH Highway Range Test (by Out of Spec)

Rivian doesn’t have some hidden efficiency magic. Nobody in the U.S. EV space does right now (sans Lucid). Range still comes from the same two levers: bigger batteries and lower drag. The idea of ultra‑efficient motors being a game‑changer is a marketing myth at this point. Rivian also...
  6. **NEW** MPP "Triple-L" Ride Height Adjustment Kit For R1T/R1S - Lower/Lift/Level

There is a far better solution, but you lose the air suspension. A full coil over conversion is in the works by a few suspension companies in CA at the moment. As the R1's age, newer more flexible owners will prefer a high quality coil over.
  7. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

Just quoted on my wife's R1S Quad (2023, 32,000 miles). She has 20 months remaining, which she will hit prior to 60K miles on factory warranty. Can go to 132,000 Aug. 2033. $6462 XCare. $100 deductible.
  8. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

There are quite a few of us that have had outstanding experience with XCare. As another has noted, the price has gone up significantly as more repair data points have come into the equation. There is a few threads on the XCare experience. XCare Experience Thread
  9. R2 Towed 24 hours In (after charging issues at Tesla Supercharger)

AI now scrubs the various forums and Reddit threads related to discussions of interest to Rivian. How that information is disseminated through the powers to be has not been published.
  10. R2 Towed 24 hours In (after charging issues at Tesla Supercharger)

This part is one of the unusual factors in owning a direct-to-consumer vehicle. You can't speak to a service advisor for an instant update. Takes some time getting used to that. They will get on it quickly, because it's not only important to you, but also very important to their overall business.
  11. R2 Towed 24 hours In (after charging issues at Tesla Supercharger)

I’m not saying Rivian is going bankrupt. I’m saying the R2 is the make‑or‑break moment, full-stop. They don't have a lot of money, VW or not. It's a math problem. There’s no backup model and no long runway. They have to nail the R2 fast or the story changes. I’ve been in this since 2018...
  12. R2 Towed 24 hours In (after charging issues at Tesla Supercharger)

This is all true, but Rivian has no time to get it right, because they don't have the cash to ride it out.
  13. Tire Advice for 2023 Rivian R1S – Stuck Between XTM, KO3, and Toyo A/T III

If you go with a true A/T tire, make sure it’s load‑rated for higher operating pressures. I’ve run my Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs at 68–70 psi for 64,000 miles (yes, 64K). Perfect wear, surprisingly quiet for an A/T, great ride at those pressures, and overall fantastic performance. I’ll hit 70K...
  14. 2027 R2 Performance vs. 2026 Model Y Performance - highway efficiency test (Out of Spec comparison)

Yes, it’s complicated. Highway efficiency matters, especially since 92% of my Arizona–San Diego trip is freeway at 75–78 mph. But I care more about real-world range and charging speed than efficiency alone. As @AmpedToGo said, give me a slightly larger battery that delivers nearly the same...
