We are in the same boat on both of our R1's. Both of us utilize the Alexa command with music, multiple times a day for the past 4 1/2 years. I am not interested in a work-around, sync to my phone, blah blah blah. I'm spoiled by simply getting in the vehicle and speaking.....1st World Problem

I posted my experience already, others have too. All of us on the older contract are covered under the no‑limit repeat‑failure warranty. I’m running this truck into the dirt. 73k miles and still solid. Coil over swap planned when the air suspension gets too tired....

Agreed. This was a real-world test case. I'm not going to run my AC at higher than 68 in the summer, not a chance.

Rivian doesn’t have some hidden efficiency magic. Nobody in the U.S. EV space does right now (sans Lucid). Range still comes from the same two levers: bigger batteries and lower drag. The idea of ultra‑efficient motors being a game‑changer is a marketing myth at this point. Rivian also...

There is a far better solution, but you lose the air suspension. A full coil over conversion is in the works by a few suspension companies in CA at the moment. As the R1's age, newer more flexible owners will prefer a high quality coil over.

Just quoted on my wife's R1S Quad (2023, 32,000 miles). She has 20 months remaining, which she will hit prior to 60K miles on factory warranty. Can go to 132,000 Aug. 2033. $6462 XCare. $100 deductible.

AI now scrubs the various forums and Reddit threads related to discussions of interest to Rivian. How that information is disseminated through the powers to be has not been published.

This part is one of the unusual factors in owning a direct-to-consumer vehicle. You can't speak to a service advisor for an instant update. Takes some time getting used to that. They will get on it quickly, because it's not only important to you, but also very important to their overall business.

I’m not saying Rivian is going bankrupt. I’m saying the R2 is the make‑or‑break moment, full-stop. They don't have a lot of money, VW or not. It's a math problem. There’s no backup model and no long runway. They have to nail the R2 fast or the story changes. I’ve been in this since 2018...

This is all true, but Rivian has no time to get it right, because they don't have the cash to ride it out.
