Yeah not sure when the switchover was, but this is true. I have an early 2024 and they told me it had the new subframe too. I assume this is why my suspension has been dead silent and other Gen 1 owners complain about noises.
The “extra stuff” in the launch edition is a tow package and a lifetime self driving subscription thrown in for free. Why wouldn’t you want that? Otherwise the launch edition is identical to the performance trim and the same price.
I echo the Forest Green + Coastal Cloud people…that’s my top choice right now as well.
I saw an R2 with coastal cloud in person at SXSW and it looks very modern and premium.
You push/pull on the left haptic scroll wheel to telescope the steering wheel, not the steering wheel itself. I adjusted it, had a lot of range and was easy.

I think there's probably just a brief learning curve and you took the time to play with them and figure it out. I was focused on other things so was fumbling with the scroll wheels withing really trying to master them. I LOVED the way they felt in hand and the scrolling feel was excellent...I...
