Exact same for me. its has worked perfectly up until this week.

You go in through the driver side wheel well. Pull back the molding and it is about a foot & 1/2 reach towards the center.

Problem is the car thinks it is open when it is not. I can do the manual release to get it open, but the error is still there. I can manually close the trunk but still shows open. My guess is just a bad sensor.

i guess technically it is not bricked. I can drive up to 13 miles an hour with a loud non-stop alarm.
