    Just picked up a R1S and it did have the new MagSafe version, this one was built march, seems like that might be the transition month.

    Yes it works great! I had an OG version which was useless. Has MagSafe which keeps your phone in place and can charge 2 phones at a time. Doesn't overheat your phone as well. It isnt the fastest but works well. As stated above if you need faster charging I'd use a cable.

    Ok so it bounces between 12watts and down to 7watts. But keeps your phone relatively cool.

    Their Gen 2 version you could pay to upgrade from the OG. Is their an easy way to see how fast your phone is charging? I have an iPhone.

    I noticed the same thing, I’m hoping they bring their new Rivian green to the configurator. My guess we will see on 3/12 when the R2 configurator goes live.

    Does anyone know if this is more of a Gen1 issue than Gen2? Thought I heard/read that they revised the suspension on their Gen2 cars.

    It may only be an issue on your first charging stop, once the battery temps is high you shouldn’t have an issue, especially when you string multiple fast charging stops together.

    And that nullifies the ability to charge to 100% regularly with LFP, if you are worried about the BMS under 20% especially in the cold. In theory it works to have a smaller pack if you regularly use all of it.
