Two non skid rubber mats from Home Depot have worked very well in my bed. A tailgate mat strikes me as superfluous.

It’s a gasoline generator. Most of us on this forum bought an EV to move away from fossil fuels. I bought a Pebble Flow to extend that movement to our travel camping.

The Rivian receiver is well positioned. The closer a ball hitch is to the axle of the tow vehicle, the less tendency there will be for a trailer to sway.

Battery SOC while boondocking will be affected by usage and solar production. Using the HVAC consumes a lot of kW. Best to realize that you are camping, despite the nice accommodations, and manage both power and water carefully. Black water is always our limiting factor in extended boondocking...

The Airstream definitely has more storage. As we prepared our Airstream for sale, I was astonished at the amount of seldom or never used stuff that had accumulated in the trailer, much like a garage. The Pebble has less storage to be sure, but we think that it will suffice for our adventures...

I agree with you about towing at 55. The greater efficiency and safety is significant. We make every effort to travel on ‘Blue Highways’ at 55 mph, but trying to get home before the snow had us on I40 where 55 in a 75 or faster pack would just not be safe.
