I'd love to find a car that everyone loves. It just doesnt exist. I still dont like the headlights, the glass roof and a few other things on my R1 but I got it knowing it came that way. Get what you like with a minimal list of things you dont like.
I got an interesting message that my 12v needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, I was in Spain. Rivian was nice enough to schedule it out after my return. This is the 3rd time Rivian has pro actively replaced the 12v.
Most here know that I live life dangerously by running without front plates. Go ahead-feel the thrill-be a rebel!
Seriously though, what's the worst that can happen-a citation? You can also use a heavy-duty double sticky tape.
My lord-please, consider, if you already have not, sending the SC a message via the app. I am surprised that you are not able to talk to someone. I can usually get someone within 2 minutes of calling. All the best.
I use the frunk because it's closer to the kitchen door, if I park with the front in. Over the course of my lifetime, I'm probably saving myself a full year of time with this efficiency (j/k).
I can see why OP or others might want a powered frunk but the price of the R2 reflects some of these...
Do it! There are plenty of people in the world surviving with one car. It's better for you and the planet. My R1S has been very reliable. It's my primary car but I could just have gone on in life with it being my only car. Cheers.
Agree. All my previous cars were ICE and what I drove off the lot was what I got for the life of the car. This is my first EV. Every update is X'mas day for me!
I got 2 flats within the first month of getting my R1. Had to replace one tyre and patch the other one. Got tyre insurance and the spare tyre kit and haven't had a flat since!
OP-My R1S is a '23 and the estimated range is closer to others posted it should be. Yours seems low. Your miles are very low.
Wonder if an "abused" car has battery degradation?
There are people here that took there Rivians to Europe. Can't remember the gent that has three in Hawaii. The R2 is not first generation because it is a result of learning on the R1. I have a '23 R1S. No major issues. I would do it without any hesitation but I am not risk averse. All the best.
Yes, as long as you have a wife that doesn't complain about the 911 being too low or too noisy and you complicate matters with constant speeding tickets. Life is complicated (j/k). Cheers.
