Also, where can I report bugs like this? It almost seems like they don’t want to be aware of such issues because there’s no convenient way to report them.
For this particular problem, I have a scheduled service appointment in December. ?
Yeah, before this update, I didn’t have any issues with the HVAC. If they used to consider the outside temperature, it was easy to override and adjust the temperature slightly lower or higher than normal.
However, now, in my R1T, it’s completely unmanageable. Even the “Low” setting blows “hot”...
On what planet would such a design make any sense???
- What if I went on a long run/bike ride/whatever but it’s 59 degrees out and I’m sweating and my dogs breath in the back seat stinks from panting and now it’s raining so I can’t open the windows, or there’s wildfire smoke, or I’m driving...
Does this mean you fixed it
I’m closer to Vancouver but regardless sounds like you’re having the same issues. However the erratic behavior of it cannot be explained by outdoor temps in my case — it basically always blows piping hot regardless of outdoor temperature, but if I do manage to push...
More details:
- temperature setting does not work, even on all the way low it blows hot
- changing to recirculate/not does not help
- setting to fan only does turn off heat
- the front windshield Defogger will blow cold
- resetting software with emergency and left steering wheel does not fix it...
After updating my R1T to the 2024.35.0 version it now blasts heat uncontrollably— climate screen shows blue as if on “cool” but it’s blow dryer hot at all times unless I turn off the air conditioner entirely.
Anybody else have this issue?
I assume it’s to do with the new split climate control...
No, only charged the Jackery with DC via the solar panels, not the truck 12v.
Also FYI in case it applies to other product brands - because the 110v of the truck is rate limited to around 800-900w, I’ve needed to use the Jackery “slow charging” setting, otherwise it tries to pull too much power...
I’ve does this, but without any major appliances/ac running. However I typically use an electric generator, and then if needed charge the generator via the truck 120v - or on a sunny day break out the solar panels. This is a Jackery 3000 generator, which on a hot day can power the RV ac for a...
Within the last few days/maybe-week I've noticed a distinct change in the noise coming from the footwell (and front wheel-wells on both sides when listening from outside). Prior to this there was no noticeable noise, and now a predictable clicking/ knocking every time the brakes engage or...
I did call the normal service number. However it was weekend and so I slept in the RV in a parking lot until Monday morning. Service got there around 2pm Monday.
LOL... as others have mentioned, the 12v batteries themselves are your standard lead-acid variety, nothing special except perhaps the shape which is somewhat different than what Im used to seeing in boats/RVs/cars - Ive attached images that show the battery shape, product number and label/specs...
Yep thanks, in case anybody else ends up in a similar boat - mine is a 2023 R1T with the single 12v battery and per the tech who came to swap it out, the hitch access here will only get you part of the way (ie into the cabin/hood) and that you actually need to jump the 12v directly on the...
I recently had an extraordinary experience with Rivian’s Boise, Idaho service center that truly exemplifies exceptional customer service and dedication. During a family road trip, our Rivian R1T's 12v battery died while towing a 27ft travel trailer, leaving us stranded in a remote location in...
It’s a Schumacher portable jumper (see pic)… it’s on the 30A setting, and after a bit of fluctuations between 3-5v, tends to resolve on 12v as shown in the image… so, this seems to indicate that it’s charged but idk I just bought the Schumacher system today.
