grass man

Oregon native. Former Toyota and Chevy truck owner. Have owned several electric vehicles over the previous decade. Though I miss wrenching on ICE's, I sure do enjoy passing the pump.
Happy to have a Rivian overall. Looking forward to Rivian ironing out their issues and the switch to NACS to further expand network due to frequent excursions beyond range of DCFC's.
I use my truck for off-roading in some pretty difficult terrain in the Cascades and the coast ranges; mud, snow, sand, and rock. I've even skidded 30' trunks of Douglas Fir and Cedar to clear trails.
Towing more and more. Exploring the limits.
Always game for group trips through the Mt Hood and Willamette National Forests or weekend trips to central Oregon high desert, and beyond.
Most recent big trip was down to Tahoe and the Lost Sierras while towing a 20' travel trailer. Towing was easy but did empty the batter on two occasions. A lot was learned about reserve range as well as being in-tow. Thanks to good Samaritans in remote areas. Got lucky in these cases.
Most recently, I've installed rock sliders, cell booster, GMRS, and Garmin power switch and Garmin Tread Overlander GPS. Bed rack and new tires in '24, maybe more?
Hit me up if you're in the area and want to head out for some excursions!
