Personally, I sent my RCM out and had it reset. Not sure if that did anything as I brought it in to Rivian after the repair. What I can say is they didn’t replace the RCM afterwards. This was about 7 months ago and I had no access to RIDE software. I’m assuming they just cleared crash data.
The info you’re seeing on your phone isn’t going the be current with what’s actual on the truck at the moment. That’s what it was at last time it was synced but once you get it operational and its syncs up again then it will ready what’s actual. Sucks to hear there’s more damage, that will set...
I had no other option but to take it to Rivian directly. It was a nightmare. Not sure if there are independent shops now with the Rivian Ride software but from my understanding Rivian has made it a little more accessible now. I’ve read around a little and apparently even with the software you...
With an airbag being deployed the pyro fuse has blown. I don’t think it will have any power available without it being replaced but I could be wrong. Best of luck!
Did any airbags deploy? Odd that the battery would be taking charge. If the pyro fuse blew the entire system should de offline. Yes, I replaced pyro under dash. Pain in the butt to get to.
As long as you don’t feel any binding after the parking brake is released, no damage will be done that I’m aware of. I’m not a professional so take that as you will, I am not responsible for anything of course. Just passing on my experience with having dealt with it.
I tried it with my jumper and it didn’t work. Some jumpers will put out 12 volt but mine wouldn’t. I think some need to detect some sort of power to apply the 12 volts so I just ran jumper cables off one of my cars and connected two smaller gauge wires to the jumpers and did it that way. If the...
I’ve been through this and can confirm front wheels are not locked. Car will still steer without power but will take a lot of strength. What is engaged is the rear parking brake, if the tow truck driver is cool and you’re willing all you have to do is unplug the connectors at the rear parking...
