I think this is unnecessary based on how excellently built my R2 is. I just checked for obvious stuff and that felt overkill.
You do you, but internet, from an early VIN R2 owner this just feels like just click bait / FUD and not actually a thing you need to go turbo about.
Got mine last week, no issue. Guessing with my VIN 16XX it was somewhere in the "middle" of production between the early deliveries and current batches.
Took delivery of mine the other day. Bunch of driving logged. It's not as comfortable as my R1T Tri Ascend interior, not a comparison there. But basically equal in comfort to my R1S Dual interior.
The difference between the Acend interior is that the Ascend is softer and envelopes you...
Perhaps you got a bad one? I also bought through the portal and installed in both my 2025 Gen2 R1T and 2025 Gen2 R1S and neither had any issue. Plug and play.
Agree. We had a Porsche Cayenne on order and decided to go R2 instead.
The lack of one pedal driving on the Porsches is what was the final straw that killed them for us as contenders. As a long time EV driver I couldn't go back to an EV without one pedal driving.
Based on how freaking fast the cars from Spektrum go this has gotta be a one-off customization using off the shelf parts and not something upcoming. If I let my kids navigate one of their Arrma's indoor on a raised platform inside a Rivian pop-up, we'd be calling the PDR guy for the giant dent...
I spoke with an engineer that is on the V2L team it at my test drive and he said their offerings are about a year out. I didn't get into the weeds if he was talking this adapter, or a true V2H product.
