Reserved my R2 on December 29, 2025. I’m currently leasing an R1, and Rivian extended my lease six months since it was scheduled to end this month while I wait for the R2.
Update: Tried 4 different Tesla chargers and even an EVGO DC fast charger. Also hard reset — same error every time. Looks like the issue is with the vehicle, not the chargers.
Over the past few days, I’ve been getting a “Warm Plug Detected” error at various Tesla chargers with my Rivian. The vehicle hasn’t been sitting in the sun, and the weather has been relatively cool, so I don’t think it’s a temperature-related issue.
Curious if others have seen this recently or...
If it’s a clicking noise that sounds like it’s coming from the axle when turning at higher speeds, it’s probably the half shafts. I’m actually having mine replaced at Rivian Service right now on my Gen 2 R1S. Seems to be a common issue unfortunately.
My update said it installed with errors when I got in the car. My phone as key won’t let me put my car into drive. Called Rivian and they said they’ll re-push today. Anyone else get an installed with errors message?
cool, I’m connect + paid so even though I’m not on WiFi, theoretically I should still get it within the first two days of release based on the data you’ve been seeing.
