Yes, one command versus pushing four window buttons seems easier. Usually something I do as I'm parking after driving with all the windows down. Inevitably, one of the windows doesn't go all the way up on one press so I have to try again or just press and hold. Then, when it is hot out I like to...
I wish Rivian Assistant could control windows up/down. The only way I know of to do "all windows up" and "vent windows" is with the phone app, and that is a feature I use regularly and would prefer to be able to do it through the truck itself, or the Assistant.
My first guess is inadvertent touching of your phone. When my truck does unexpected things, most of the time it was the Rivian app equivalent of a butt dial, and I was touching windows, climate, alarm(!) buttons while putting my phone away, etc.
I have a Gen1 R1T and I've noticed more than a few times in the last couple of months I've been listening to a track or album on Apple Music, and after quite a while (like 1 to 3 minutes) the song will kick into Dolby Atmos mode, which as we all know is louder and more spatial, and has the Atmos...
I had a “Service Suspension” indicator and a 53 MPH limit show up on the driver’s display in western Nebraska in the middle of a 3,900 mile road trip. A hard reset cleared the issue and that was six months ago with nothing more of it.
I had DT put new Michelins on my R1T in July, and they asked to use my aluminum jacking puck, saying that the "pucks Rivian gave them" were a plastic construction and the nipples easily sheared off. Not sure if that is a factor in this policy/practice, or in R1's coming off lifts...
I'm 2.5 years in and about to hit 50K, and agree with OP and @1stPlace about pre-order value, and switching from OEM Pirellis to Michelins! I hope I have the budget and patience to keep this truck out of warranty since it has been so satisfying to own thus far.
I just wanted to chime in that it seems this issue is fixed for me. I think the Halloween software update (2025.38.0) must have had some magic, as on a trip to Tacoma a month ago I was still fighting the System Default, but on a quick trip to Seattle earlier this week, ACC and Driver+ worked...
Just noticed mine doing this... Like others I've been using Trip A for lifetime data, and I put new Michelin Defenders on in July and know my efficiency has gone up over the factory Pirellis, but the Trip A efficiency is going down. Computers are supposed to be good at math, no? Doing the math...
My 2023 QM R1T has been doing this for a few months now, and was especially annoying on our 3,900 mile road trip in July. I finally reported it to Rivian and am currently scheduled for a service appointment in five weeks. Since the service center is five hours away, I sure hope they fix it with...
