I feel this in my bones. Yeah, I think Iām going back to ICE for a few years. Maybe Iāll cash in the Scout reservation I have, maybe not. Weāll see.
Right now Iām leabing towards the diesel Escalade. Luxury, good mileage, and less likely to strand me that their 6.2L and my current R1T.
After having so many service issues, I don't think I can stomach the risk of buying a Land Rover.
I like the looks of the audi Q models, just need to drive one. Might even try to stretch into an RS Q8.
Iām going back to an SUV. And very likely going back to ICE since there isnāt a close R1 equivalent in another brand.
I donāt NEED anything but Iād like something on the more luxury end.
thinking Porsche Cayenne, Escalade, X5/X7, GLE/GLS AMG, etc.
I agree re: skewed perspective. Unfortunately, my perspective includes two hydraulic failures, an airbag failure, replaced front axle, paint issues, 12v battery, a failed motor, and an additional suspension issue I donāt recall the exact details of.
Easily $30-40k of covered repairs and $7k in...
My R1T is a ā22. The fact that theyāre buying it back surprised me but also tells me what the truck has put me through isnāt typical⦠but I canāt/wont get bitten twice
I came from a 2014 4-Runner. Itās crossed my mind to simply go back but thereās no way Iāll be happy with that 4.0 V6 that felt slow BEFORE I owned an R1Tā¦
Iām looking at a GX, but not loving what Iāve read so far from new owners since their update.
Hey!
Iāve lurked here for many years, but my time with Rivian is coming to an a sad but optimistic end.
After 11 different trips to the service center and over 4 months of SC stays, Rivian is buying back my R1T. I canāt trust it anymore. I still love the thing but I wonāt be holding the bag...
I bailed on the project. Life happened since I posted this and, in the mean time, Iāve decided Iāll be trading into an R1S at some point and decided against tackling it. Good luck!
I just had a similar issue with 2/4 of my 20ā ATs. I upgraded from 21ā and within a week I was consistently losing pressure in my back two tires.
long story short- my valves were not tightened well. I had a slow leak around both valve stems. Once I tightened them up- problem solved.
I will. It will be a slow process for me as I'm simply in the planning stages but if I try to tackle it myself versus hiring a shop I will video it all as best as I can for the good of my R1T people!
Yep! I've seen both of those. I'm trying to stick to one 10" sub in the factory spot and not sacrifice any under seat storage. I'll definitely be drawing some inspo off of these photos (mainly the gear used for small spaces)
