My problem seems to have been resolved, but I don't think by an update. I believe it was solved by replacing a defective tire.
The first set of tires I bought, I purchased 3 Pirelli and used the Pirelli full size spare, for the 4th. The spare tire lasted 19,000 miles and developed a leak. I...
Thank you. I need to follow up with Rivian. I did not get any improvement at all, with the latest update. The Cruise Control as is, is not acceptable, or usable, to me.
Have you, Girons (Grant), or Andrew found a solution to this? The December update did nothing for me. Did the update work for you, or have you found a solution? The update and a hard reset did not work for me. Thanks in advance for a reply, if you're still following this thread.
I feel this problem is software related, even though no confirmation, or denial from Rivian. It seems to have happened sometime around the November update, for most of us that have the problem, so I cancelled my appointment, as it's too far away to take, not knowing any more than I do. They...
I'm due to take my R1T, Gen 1, 2022 early model, in tomorrow. I believe it would be a wasted trip, being others are having the exact same problem, starting with the same update, in November.
Rivian has not answered my last 3 messages and so far have not allowed me to speak to a technician...
Exactly the same as me. I have an appointment scheduled Tuesday, but I can see there's no need to take it in now. It's very frustrating. To the point I don't use the Cruise Control any more. I asked to speak to a service technician, to find out if it was a problem due to software, hardware...
I had this same problem when I first got mine too. I have a Kubota L3600 tractor. The lever is left of the steering wheel. It's at an angle though, not completely vertical. When you push forward (Up), it's in drive. Pull back (down), it's in reverse. That definitely had an effect on me...
That's one way to view it.
For me, free electricity (from the government) for EV's doesn't give me an incentive to change my behavior. I didn't consider that at all, prior to ordering mine. My charging is done at home. I don't care to see the government competing against the private...
I'm with you on points 1 and 2, Doug. On point 3, if you're suggesting incentives, where it helps achieve a goal that is good for everyone, such as helping the economy, environment, etc. I agree.
I don't agree with a government furnishing free electricity, though. I see "free electricity"...
I agree with your comments above. It's what I interpreted the Rep. to be saying about free electricity. However,it seems he went a little overboard with his remedy. No need to remove the chargers. Instead, set competitive pricing for the electricity. Make money, not waste it.
Thanks for...
I agree with the quote above. I don't know if Texas has chargers that fall in this category, or not. I don't think taxpayers should foot the bill for my electricity, no more than I think I should foot the bill for their gas/oil. I'm sure they all get subsidized in some way.
Agree. However, I consider basic cruise control as when you set a certain speed and it maintains that speed, until it's released. What I have on my Rivian is Adaptive Cruise Control. It's okay, but it depends on the radar sensors. I prefer to have basic Cruise Control, that doesn't depend on...
