  1. IONNA helped me top Rivian Roamer’s leaderboard again

That's a no-brainer. IONNA is easily the best option for EV charging, unfortunately it is not yet available in many areas.
  2. Standard Cruise Control - help me convince Rivian it should be an option!

It is in fact the opposite of dangerous. It errs on the side of safe. Unfortunately, it is frequently annoying, especially on a windy rural or mountain road with light or zero traffic. I'm old school. I like cruise control, but I also want to be in charge of it, and decide when to disengage it...
  3. Long road trip? Drive faster for less total travel time

Well, first of all, I'm retired, so life is a bit more relaxed than it used to be. When I'm on my road trips, I generally alternate - one night in the Rivian and one night in a hotel. In both cases, I seek out free level-2 charging options. This is not uncommon at hotels, but it is a bit more...
  4. Long road trip? Drive faster for less total travel time

It also does not account for higher charging expense. I'll be taking my 3rd 2k+ road trip later this month (R1S Tri). I take my time, and stop and see the sights along the way. It's not about the destination, but the journey. Adventure on!
  5. Switched from R1T (Gen 1 Quad) to a Ford Bronco

I had a gen 1 Bronco for a while a long time ago in galaxy far, far away, and was all in on the new one. Until R1S came out. I've had EVs since 2013 (along with a 1990 4Runner that I bought in 1997). I've had my R1S Tri for a year and a half and love it. Sold the trusty, beloved 4Runner shortly...
  6. Traded the Tri Motor R1T for an R2 - The R2 is impressing me more and more

I appreciate the thorough review by an experienced R1 owner. Adventure on!
  7. Rivian won't charge over 60kw at high speed chargers

Shot in the dark, but easy to try... Have you done a vehicle reset?
  8. Still enjoying our Rivian after 3+ years

Did you get 50k miles on the original factory tires? If so, kudos to you!
  9. Still enjoying our Rivian after 3+ years

I'm with you. While it does have it's annoying flaws and short-comings, I am very happy with my R1S Tri. I will be setting off on my 3rd 2,000+ mile road trip next month, all of which include sleeping in the vehicle. Overall, my Rivian has been a delight. Best wishes, and adventure on!
  10. First dealership reselling an R2 is listed

Will probably get it. Supply and demand. Hummer EVs were fetching a huge premium for a while when they first came out.
  11. Vegas to Upstate NY

Sounds awesome! I hope you do it. Should have zero issues with charging unless you go well off the beaten path, and even then it's doable. I have done a 5k road trip from Central California to Missouri. On the way back I went through South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. There were a...
  12. Plug and Charge issues at Tesla chargers

Do you initiate through the Rivian app, or Tesla? I do the same on the road, but charge through Tesla because I buy a monthly membership when doing a road trip.
