After a camping trip this past weekend with our 18 month old who now wants to climb everywhere and touch everything while eating messy foods.. I’m pretty happy with the r1 cleanability, it was a mess
Anyone dug into the details on what this actually means? Where is the line between traditional coverage and off-road? Surely dirt roads are fine for traditional coverage... Where does it stop being a typical incident and get redefined to off-road damage?
Some limitations but it is pretty cool. Audio and hvac commands I tried worked... I'm in a 2022 so I think that probably answers any concerns anout compatibility. Not laggy, pretty responsive if it's a command it understands. Takes longer if it doesn't know what I'm asking.
Yeah that’s where I’m at too. Four years of camping with electric and while I still haven’t found the 100% perfect cooking setup, I’m glad to not be using gas, I always have my fuel source with me.
We bought one recently, just before hitting 50k miles, since the price did jump up quite a bit, even considering how much of the warranty we would be eligible for. We will be covered through 2034, so 12 years from purchase (and more miles than we will have hit).

We are too spoiled by how much stuff we can fit in our R1, the r2 is just a backup in case something happens to ours and we can’t afford a new R1.

Not much to add except they charged me $485 to replace my battery at a mobile service last month. Slightly better than some have seen… not sure why.
This was at 3.5 years and 48k miles.
Right now I just tolerate a blend of Sesame Street and my music… I was thinking of using one of the other services for kid music but haven’t gotten that far. I’d imagine the proposed solution would work if you always drive, otherwise you’d need another profile for the other driver… once and a...
The blizzaks work great and wear a lot better than the pirellis. I have about 30k on mine and a lot of life remaining after 3 winters.
we decided it was not worth the cost of a second set of rims. There may be more affordable sets now but the wheels are expensive for this truck. I don’t really...
keep in mind a lot of what you may run across when viewing user experiences will be with the “gen1 large” pack, not the “gen2 large” pack. I am not convinced the gen2 will get the same range as the gen1 large pack despite the improved efficiencies.
anecdotally I’m in Golden with a gen1 large...
