Finally got around to completing my GMRS radio and antenna install. Details are here. Pretty happy with the finished product: GMRS head unit was mounted in the passenger side dash, so nicely out of sight.

Thanks for sharing the example tow hook option! I also thought about the ditch light mount option that others have posted. In the end decided to go with the nmo mount on the bed rail cap -- will share how that turns out.

Good question. Hadn't given that too much thought. It is already higher than probably most water crossings I'd attempt. The SP-9100’s power-module is built to the IP 67 standard, so it should survive being under clean, fresh water to a depth of ≈1 m (3.3 ft) for up to 30 minutes without water...

The Switch Pro is essentially a relay. Main power for devices is straight off the 12v battery. The lead off the marker light connects to a trigger/sensor connection on the Switch Pro and the Switch Pro pulls a couple mA at most. I plan to throw a 1 Amp fuse on the trigger input just to be safe...
