As soon as I get a weekend with some extra time, my plan is to install a PIAA Superior Bass horn set to replace my single horn (Gen1). I'm hoping to simply unplug the single horn and plug this setup in, then have beer to either celebrate my success or comfort my failure!
Personally, I really do not want rear steering. We don't need another complicating drivetrain feature to add to cost and potential issues, especially for something that not going to be used or needed by most drivers in most situations.
Besides the obvious range and charging improvements, here's my list:
Better HVAC/heat pump for winter conditions
Heated headlights for winter conditions
Wipers that work in winter conditions
Spare tire latch that opens in below freezing/winter conditions (R1T only)
Better quality control for...
I've also experienced strange hvac performance lately, although I have to say, whenever it gets really cold I've always found it best to turn auto off, manually turn on outside air to keep fog off the windows, then just set the temp and control the fan as needed. I spend most of the winter with...
If you're reasonably close to a service center, I still suggest submitting a ticket. This is not normal and you shouldn't have to try ridiculous venting/temp setting solutions to get heat in the winter. You might be right that it's a software bug, but if it was me I would want to have it...
I thought mine would be related to the sensors as well, although the service center quickly ruled that out as they said that faulty sensors are usually very easy to diagnose. I think I got the "TCM" acronym wrong on my previous post. This is what was done:
Not everything can be blamed on software. The issue described is not the same as the software issue. Don't put off getting this fixed properly. I've experienced it and it sucks when the cab drops below freezing while you're driving with nothing but the heated seats to keep you warm.
I've actually had two hvac issues with my gen 1 R1T. One was that it became unresponsive (wouldn't turn on) when the interior cab temp reached above 40*C (104F), the other issue is what you are experiencing. It would start out fine then suddenly switch to cold air and there was nothing I could...
OP is correct here. It is definitely not the lid seal or gasket, and I've tried de-icer as well as hair dryers on the lever/handle with no luck. It's either the cables freezing in the cable housing or the latch. All I know is the brakes and derailer on my mountain bike work just fine in the...
I stopped just before breaking my lever but stretched the cables. They replaced the whole thing with new latches and cables (under warranty) but it still seizes every time it gets cold. It's -6*C here right now and the lever won't budge. The Vancouver service centre told me there's no fix.
If...
