    ICE cars don’t usually have as much crumple zone as electric cars as they have to divert the engine downward to keep it out of the cab.

    Agreed but I was referring to with the extender in place. I’m going to start working on a solution to have it installed and be able to access the trunk.

    I’m in this boat too. I tried to take the column cover off but can’t find the pieces for sale that are separated so I can see how they are actually clamshelled together since it’s still Under warranty.

    Why the longer bolts? What's the reason for offering it as an option? If I want to us the short ones does it require me to flex the natural shape of the bed extender to fit the mounts making it where I would have to lock in one side then go pull the other side in to lock it?
