I run a similar setup from RAM Mounts on my boat. Use a tablet as a chartplotter, and it's held up well. Everything from Gulf of Mexico to Lake Erie. Would likely work great for car camping as well.

I have the GY OEM 33". They aren't bad, but aren't exceptional either. I think I'm going to try the Continental Terrain Contact A/T's on the next round. Had those on my Sierra and really liked them. Been a Continental fan for years.
