Yeah I switched from the K03 to a K02 in 275/60/20 to get closer to the factory 21" size.
Still used ~160 miles of range to drive 100 miles. So keep that in mind.
Highway you get anywhere from 1.6 mi/kw to 2.1 mi/kw. But that is babying the accelerator pedal.
If you drive and stomp on the...
I would think it will be back closer to 100 milles for 100 miles since the 275/60/20 are the same size as a 275/55/21..And the KO2s are lighter than the KO3s. But who knows at this point
Because the old wheels and tires I had were 275/55/21 road tires vs the new wheels and tires 275/65/20 all terrain tires so a 1.5" increase in diameter and higher rolling resistance. The new tires are also heavier and have a higher load/speed rating for better off road performance. So the...
Discount Tire is going to swap the 275/65/20 KO3s with 2300 miles on them with a new set of 275/60/20 KO2s free of charge. This will put the KO2s right near the original 275/55/21 size set and I can avoid the whole recalibration in general. This change decreases the total diameter of the tires...
That may be the next option at this point.
Luckily the truck is paid off..So I can easily just go get something else.
Getting a little tired of waiting 1-2 months for service anyways and the other
issues im having with half shaft noises and back up camera freezing all the time.
Im getting direct information from the service manager at Rivian....I think whatever he says goes...lol The Black rhino wheels do void warranty because they are not "Rivian" branded wheels..What dont you guys understand about this..Yes..they are made to be installed on a Rivian because black...
I just recieved another call from one of Rivians higher ups...THEY WILL NOT RECALIBRATE AFTERMARKET WHEELS. Its a huge liability for them and voids the trucks warranty...They will not be reliable for any faults with the wheels and tires or damages made over time. So I asked them...:
"How are...
That deffinaltey does not happen. I drive 100 miles about 3 days a week and I use 160-170 miles of range dpending on driving conditions to drive those 100 miles. The truck does not automatically adjust anything. Its not that smart.
Yes the service request paperwork I esigned for $120 service fee to recalibrate was legit. But even the service tech....Said they cant recalibrate because they are aftermarket lol. I have another in person service appt. on March 1st to fix the creaking/clicking half shaft issue in the front end...
Im not concerned as much with the "speed". More concerned with the fact I use 160 miles of range to drive 100 miles....Thats what I want/need recalibrated.
I spoke with Rivians service manager this morning and he directly told me they will NOT calibrate aftermarket wheels and tires...They have to be Rivian specific wheels for them to do the work. Not sure how this can be any different anywhere else if they are all following guidelines.
