Does anyone know where I can get a leak in a 22” tire fixed in NoVA (preferably someplace relatively close to Arlington)? I’m having a really hard time getting any of the garages/tire shops to do it. Some shops want to put the vehicle on a rack, but can’t lift the 7,000 lb R1S. Others don’t want to use the floor jack for some reason, even though I have the jack pucks. It’s a multi-week wait for Rivian mobile service. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Can you take the tire off and bring it to a tire shop yourself? May save some trouble to not even tell them what vehicle it's off of. Just roll it in and say "fix this". LOL. 😉

Do you have a set of jack pucks? If so, roll over to GT Peace in Chantilly. I know it’s not Arlington area, but they have experience with Rivians.

Also, a plug job is rather straight forward, if you can identify a leak by puncture from a nail or screw. Plenty of DIY vids on YouTube to follow. Plug kits available at local auto part stores and Amazon.

If you need to replace the tire, I have a spare 22” tire for sale.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the tips. I do have a set of jack pucks.

Much appreciated. I took it to one shop that looked at the tire and couldn’t find a nail or screw. They didn’t take off the wheel, though.

Do you have a large enough tub to submerge it and look for air bubbles? Another way is to try spraying with soapy water, and look for any bubbles.

No large tub. I’m going to try a couple of other tire stores around me. Thanks again.

Arlington Autocare was able to address my issue. There was a nail in the sidewall, so ended up with a new tire. Turns out Arlington Autocare has worked on other Rivians.

I know this is an old threat, but adding to it that ABS Automotive in Fairfax has a lift capable of the weight. They did a tire rotation on my R1T. Charged me $115 for it since it was the first one they did, and had to spend a bit of extra time learning and making sure the vehicle’s system was good to go before/after they did it. I had to bring my own jack pucks though. This was done over a month ago and no issues since.
