Got a call today from Rivian service out of the blue telling me that my 12v battery charge was getting low and needs to be replaced. Has anyone else gotten call like this? I looked all over and can’t see anywhere I can check on the battery levels in the car UI or the app.

I called back and got a mobile service appointment for the 30th. Soonest they had available. Interesting that they proactively monitored for it and notified me.

If you can get into the “ride” menu within the service menu U think the instantaneous 12v voltage is there. I never found that too useful, it’s always changing as it discharges and charges.

Cool they cashed you preemptively though.

That's cool they did that.

You love to see it. I wish they coulda caught my issue but it seems like there likely is multiple causes for 12V related issues. But this is good stuff!

So, Rivian called to confirm my12v battery and I told the scheduling agent that i haven’t received the most recent Halloween update on the vehicle, and she said, “That’s a by product of this 12v replacement issue, the vehicle wont download unless its sure the system is ready (enough charge)”. Not sure i totally believe her.. but either way, looks like i might miss the Halloween fun this year. Will ask them to force the update on Wednesday after they replace the battery. Just sharing in case anyone else is waiting on a 12v battery update.

Good luck. Will be interested to hear how they resolve it. I got impatient and took a Connect+ subscription on the 18th. After the first time seeing it and showing the kids, I haven't really played with it. I do enjoy the hoots though.

Battery replaced successfully. Took about an hour. He didn’t share too much information that hasn’t already been said in the forums, but alluded to there needing someone dedicated to rooting through all the data to find the vehicles with 12v issues based on the data trends. Guess I’m glad they caught mine before it bricked randomly.

Was able to get them to force the software update so I get at least 1 day to enjoy the car costumes. Really well executed in my opinion.

I just got called yesterday to schedule for Thursday this week to replace mine. They said they're moving through a list of VINs and being proactive. I am assuming its from a potentially bad batch from the manufacture?

That’s what I was told.
