Is anyone having their charging slow down at home?

Just got an R1T and I have a J1772 Tesla Wall Connector. The last few charges have started at full power but the charging speed decreased to about half almost an hour into the charge.

A bit of googling suggests other folks are having similar issues even with the Rivian Wall Charger.

Wondering if folks in HTX are seeing similar issues and whether we think it’s software related or it’s just a result of the insufferable Houston summer heat.

No similar issue. My home charger runs at full speed, about 11 kW, throughout.

Interesting. I'm having an electrician come check the wall connector to confirm it's not electrical related. This battery is much larger than my Model Y so the slower charging hasn't been ideal.

On hot days, yes the charge speed is inconsistent now. Kyle Conner on Youtube stated it was a new software development that made the handle to temperature sensitive and thus reducing the charge speed. Hopefully they will address it in a future update. Quite honestly I was hoping the next gen had a a larger charger in boar like the Hummer EV does 19kW.

@MrTookies I think it was just the hot day. Had an electrician come take a look at things and he said it was all good. Agreed though. My friend has a Ford Charge Station Pro (80 amps). The Rivian would only accept 48amps but just imagine!
