Spare tire compartment seal - water intrusion issue?

Sorry if there is a recent and or active thread related to this, I do not see one.

Has anyone encountered any issues with water seeping into that area? I recall seeing a video where someone had rust due to water. Should I not have the manual tonneau cover, for some time, I want to think of how to protect, seal the area.

Maybe we need to see what you can do about the hood. Even with Rivian's updated design, my hood still flutters more than it should. No depressions or cave ins like with the early vehicles but still more movement than with any other vehicle I've ever had.

After 53 weeks I finally finished a hatch seal, 47k for 3 molds , each seal over 8k

I have forty years experience in seals and gaskets.

Thank you @Gee Bee, let's see if any current owners have had an issue with this. I hope to have my R1T in a couple of weeks, ~1 month after placing my reservation.

I believe this company is worth the risk, growing pains and this would be my first truck, pickup..ev.
