Hmm… I do not expect to see mine until model year 2024, if I am luckily. This very well may change some things.

Ford F-150 EV isn't even listed. This is just speculation.

LIFE CYCLE???
In this context “life cycle” is just the arithmetic difference between the start of production and end of production. My guess IHS is looking at various announcements to estimate when a particular model is starting production and then estimating the end of production (probably by reading tea leaves from suppliers’ end of contract or some such)

One thing we're missing in this otherwise interesting analyst's perspective is the notes detailing process and assumptions.

Since they have the Model 3, Y, S, and Cybertruck all on the same platform (and left the X out completely), I don't how you could give any credibility to this "information".

I truly hope that is not the case here. Most auto MFG's have changed direction and have or will abolish building ICE vehicles. Pretty soon the marketplace will be flooded with dozens of EV choices form around the globe. If Rivian continues to push back production and delivery dates they will give up a big piece of their market share to competitors. They were slated to be the first EV pickup on the market but GM ( HUMMER EV ) and a few others will most likely be the first ones on the market.

What are you basing this on? If Rivian delivers in June as expected, they will still be first.

IHS Markit collects information from the department of motor vehicles and has ongoing business relationships with all the mainstream automotive companies.
