On the first week of December I had installed a new set of tires(Tire Discounters) for the winter season. Original tires still have some life remaining and I will be using them for next spring-fall season, but the numbers are:

Rotation has been done every 7.000+ miles

I can't tell from that tread pattern - is that the 21" or 22" wheel+tire? It's definitely not the 20" AT.

And how aggressive have you been on the accelerator?

22’ sports…95% driving in conserve mode and moderate driving style overall

idk what the 22”’s come with but the average tire comes with 8-9 mm of tread. It looks like he’s used over 2/3 of his at 22K miles. So if the current pattern/driving habits are any indication he’s got about 6-8K worth of driving left before they need to be replaced.

What kind of tires? If you bought Pirelli, its your fault. Seriously though, what is the tread wear rating for them? Its a heavy vehicle with a lot of power.
My Trackhawk got 20,000 miles per set, as did the M3's I owned. Seems legit.
Like I stated in the thread, tires are OEM and they are Pirelli per Rivian decision. It’s “their fault” not mine…yet

Curious about the high conserve mode usage, is the majority of your driving long distance/highway driving?

I’m used to measuring on /32 instead of mm, but on the same tire for the Tesla MX I got roughly 15,000 miles before needing replacement at 4/32. On my Rivian, I’m finding it‘a about the same so far. I’m at 7-8/32 with 6,000 miles. So I’m projecting about 18-20,000 miles before needing replacement.

You’re getting more but with conserve mode with a less aggressive throttle and less overall power, so it does seem to be in line with what these tires are capable of.

Over 95% is highway driving and vast majority of the miles are done on long distances. This picture is from a 10 days trip around the country back in May.

2.3 mm to 3.7 mm translate to 3/32 to 4/32. If you want good/safe traction in wet condition then it's time to replace those.

That’s why I put a new set of tires. To be safe for the winter.

Thanks for the post , I’m pretty set on the 22 brights . I love the way it looks, we do at least 25k miles a year so the tread life was a concern. Please keep us updated on your new AS plus 3’s
