Say what you will about Musk but you have to give him some credit. Not many people have ever been in a position to lose 200 billion dollars in one year….????
That is a shocking amount of money to piss away in such a short amount of time. It’s like Brewster’s Millions 2021.

Elon has also now weighed in on whether the tank is dead in modern warfare. Good thing the CT will be available soon. I mean, it's way more maneuverable than a tank and its unbreakable glass is surely as good as a tank's armor. Plus, now that we know it can tow near infinite mass, we know it can tow artillery and other heavy weapons.

Interesting. So your theory is he’s trying to get a DoD contract to add to his SpaceX money? ?

Given the enormous pile of money he lit on fire by failing to not buy Twitter, this makes a lot of sense to me.

That's so Boring, he tried that already.

I wasn't really suggesting that, but it also wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he's arrogant enough to think the CT could work for the military.

Well they do claim ”Cybertruck can perform in almost any extreme situation with ease” and Elon wouldn’t lie to us, so that must include war.

Hey! Lots of people want to slowly drive their Teslas single file through dark, narrow tunnels! It’s hardcore, cutting edge, extreme!

I don’t see the problem. It clearly states a 14000lb towing limit along with saying it has the ability to tow way more than that. That’s nothing different than our trucks being rated for 11000lbs but Rivian claiming to have towed 30k plus during testing and development.

The problem is that it's absurd hyperbole and is par for the course for Musk and his companies at this point. FSD available in a year. Your car is an appreciating asset. Etc. Etc.

30k is a number. “Near infinite mass” is a Sci-FI term.

I don’t think I ever said it was a “problem”. This thread exists purely for mockery.

Near infinite is pretty accurate in reference to any practical application. A stock Tundra towed 300000lbs of space shuttle through LA, a cybertruck or Rivian could probably tow 500000lbs in the same situation.

Again, those are actual numbers and Toyota never used “300,000 lbs” on any marketing materials. saying Rivian “could probably” also means they have not and likely will not use that in their own marketing.…UNLIKE Tesla.

Also, as has been pointed out earlier, there is no “near infinite”. That’s the same as infinite.
