That was my biggest takeaway. Watch in the end they'll have one to give out and they'll say, "well it technically counts."Still committed to the June timeline. Nice.
Man, those crash test videos hurt my soul to watch, but also fascinate me ?New video on twitter...
Crash test videos are my favorite, you can see cell impact, airbag deployment, crumple zones etc.Man, those crash test videos hurt my soul to watch, but also fascinate me ?
I always think about how all cars are required to do a crash test. Even $2,000,000 supercars.Man, those crash test videos hurt my soul to watch, but also fascinate me ?
At the risk of being overly optimistic, it certainly seems like if they are comfortable restating it in a new video, they must be confident. Doesn't mean the pace will be anything to brag about, but at least a few lucky people should be getting theirs in four months.Still committed to the June timeline. Nice.
That feels like a realistically achievable production goal.3 trucks/hour
I think it's more like 1 truck on June 30th, then 9,999 over the next 183 days.Fun math time...
Let's assume their goal is 10,000 trucks this year (I know optimistic, but I sure do like those half-full glasses)
10,000 trucks
7 Months (starting June 1)
Roughly 47 trucks a day
Roughly 16 hours a day
3 trucks/hour
Lucid claims they'll produce six Lucid Airs per hour, at launch. Running two, eight hour shifts, that's 96 cars per day. You'd only need to operate ~104 production days to produce 10,000 units. Even if they ran only 5 days a week (only need two shifts of FTEs) you'd produce 480 units a week, so you could meet your 10k goal in under 21 weeks (just over 5 months).Fun math time...

Yeah. It's going to happen. Anyone else need some rose-colored glasses? I buy them at Costco.
