New Rivian, who dis. Orange County Meetup?

Hi Everyone! Just got my Rivian R1T last week! So far I am absolutely loving it. Got the Midnight Black with the Black interior and 22's. So far got windows ceramic tinted, getting xpel ppf on the nose this week.

Sold my 2013 Model S and 2008 Ford F150 (fun truck) this week.

Thoughts so far:

• This thing is so quick compared to my old truck! The 22's really stick to the ground too. Was hesitant about getting such a large wheel, but I don't do much off-roading etc. I'll likely get another set of wheels for when I go to snow, offroad etc.
• The interior is SOOOO much nicer than the Tesla interiors are. The a/c seats, quality faux leather, wood trim, etc. are so nice.
• The display is not laggy at all. I'm excited about future updates to the infotainment and Alexa. So many possibilities.
• So much space for everything! I'm an avid surfer/camper. There is room for everything! I keep my main surf gear like wetsuits, leashes etc in the spare tire area, and other surf gear like wax, prep stuff under the rear seats. And there is still room in the gear tunnel for other stuff, not to mention the frunk and the truck bed.
  

  
• I have a very tight garage. It took some practice, but with the folding mirrors and multiple cameras have been able to back into it without an issue. A+ on the camera app. I do wish the cameras were a little higher quality. Kind of potatoey for this stage in tech.
• After the tinting everywhere, haven't noticed the cabin heating up too much despite what I heard about the glass roof. Decided not to tint that for now.
• Charging - so far the mobile connector has been more than adequate for my needs. Haven't needed more charge than 70% and the charger has been fine with my NEMA 14-50 50 amp.
• Noticing garage warmer than usual because of likely battery conditioning. May need to vent my garage somehow.
• I received my roof bars, wall connector, first aid kit. Still waiting for all weather mats.
• Wish list:
  • A real nice front console
  • Better cubbies in the center glove box
  • The spare tire area is not easy to close. Would like this to be an easier latch.
  • Frunk height memory. My garage is not very high. If I open my frunk in my garage it would scratch the hood. Tesla rear hatch on the model s allows you to program max height by holding the physical button for a few seconds to program max height. Rivian should also do this.

I work a few blocks from the Rivian "Irvine" office in Orange County. Would love to schedule a meetup late August if anyone is in. I can start a group. Let me know if anyone is interested! I know there are plenty of Rivians in my area because of all the employees there that have them! Looking forward to seeing you all on the road!

Agree on the frunk height. I park below overhead storage in my garage. Terrified I'm going to accidentally open it in there.
