My wife and I enjoy outdoors stuff, especially windsurfing at the coast, camping, hiking, backpacking, and skiing. We have had so much fun designing our setup for our R1T to sync with all of our activities and allow luxuries that we’ve never had before.

The final components arrived last week, so we were able to set everything up over the weekend. We went with an awesome Xtrusion Overland rack set low to support our RTT tucked behind the cab. That arrangement, paired with Roofnest’s crossbars and a set of custom aluminum brackets, allow the RTT crossbars to align with our cab-mounted Rivian crossbars (to support our 2 person kayak and our Yakima water tank + tent shower).

We set molle panels around the front and sides of the bed for mounting gear, including a sweet RV filter which will allow us to recycle our shower and dishwashing water. We’re considering a solar powered cooler down the road, but we’ll just use our old cooler and bagged ice for now.

Let us know what you think!

It looks great! I love how you lined up the roof racks. If you have pictures of everything set up and in use that would be very interesting to see.

Looks great… and excellent color choice ?
I also opted for low over-the-bed mounting for my RTT to keep it out of the airstream. Would love to see a pic with the kayak loaded across the combination roof racks. Are you planning to use a combination of kayak mounts for the two different racks? We have two single seater kayaks, so it would be a bit of a loaded look up top if we took everything. Waiting on an awesome 3rd party camp kitchen (S00N!) before I can test my current setup. Cool water filter setup.
it appears with the low Extrusion rack you still have at least a partial rear view mirror view - yes?

Yes good question about the kayak mount. I’m still debating using our existing kayak supports (which should be able to attach to the middle two crossbars) and carrying the kayak upright versus flipping it over, supporting the bow and stern with the outer two crossbars, and making a couple custom wood blocks to bolt to the middle two crossbars. We’ll see!

Excellent!! Where are the traction boards going to go for the inevitable beach sand miscalculation? ;)
? I have those in the gear tunnel.

Can you provide a link for this grey water filter? Really interested.

Set Up looks great!
Just to clarify, when you say you are using this to recycle grey water...
What does that look like exactly?

I had this filter in a Skoolie build years back and found that I needed a cheap camco filter at the rv pump to keep this from clogging, can't imagine what pre-used water would do

So our setup is a combination of a Clearsource RV water filter and a tent shower / water pump from Joolca. The Joolca pump has a plastic filter to keep large debris out, and the Clearsource filter takes care of the small stuff all the way down to viruses. (!)

I just imagined bits a soap, body hair, and bits of taco night plate leftovers clogging the filter and grossed myself out >.<
