My wife and I enjoy outdoors stuff, especially windsurfing at the coast, camping, hiking, backpacking, and skiing. We have had so much fun designing our setup for our R1T to sync with all of our activities and allow luxuries that we’ve never had before.
The final components arrived last week, so we were able to set everything up over the weekend. We went with an awesome Xtrusion Overland rack set low to support our RTT tucked behind the cab. That arrangement, paired with Roofnest’s crossbars and a set of custom aluminum brackets, allow the RTT crossbars to align with our cab-mounted Rivian crossbars (to support our 2 person kayak and our Yakima water tank + tent shower).
We set molle panels around the front and sides of the bed for mounting gear, including a sweet RV filter which will allow us to recycle our shower and dishwashing water. We’re considering a solar powered cooler down the road, but we’ll just use our old cooler and bagged ice for now.
Let us know what you think!
