    I'm in the 4500s and I haven't heard a peep after confirmation. I suspect it all comes down to how many of these adapters are being manufactured and when Rivian can get batches. In the meantime, the A2Z adapter works great.

    Welcome to California. There is no way around this for Rivian or any other car. It's based on the cost of the car and you bought an expensive car. It sucks, but we it's a small price to pay to drive PCH and the So Cal canyons with over 300 days of sunshine.

    The best thing that can happen to Tesla and the EV industry as a whole is to remove Elon Musk from Tesla. If these stupid and rash decisions lead to that end goal, great. But I'm not holding my breath. There are few companies with boards made up of this many feckless sycophants.

    The Guide system was always a bad idea. They weren't provided access to useful information and they were just a middle layer to the service center. Hopefully they can employee as many of them as possible in the customer service layer, but it was doomed from the start.

    Ha! My neighbor had one. It was a nightmare to refuel. Only a few stations and the were constantly down. And if you showed up and someone was using it, you had to wait until they were done AND wait for the pump to repressurize for 20 minutes before it would work again. It's a good idea...

    They haven't sent them out yet. They are just getting a tally of how many people are opting in. My R1T Vin is in the 4500s from 2022 so I'm relatively early and I'll post if I get one, but I'm not holding my breath. There are adapters from Lectron and A2Z if you need one now.

    That's good to know. I drove one of my other trucks to work this morning because I didn't want to have to worry about it while I waited for my Rivian follow up call. They eventually called and said they didn't think it would be a problem until my mobile appt next week.

    Yeah not too bad considering some of the stories. I just hate the way they make you panic by saying you will lose range and you have to call the service center immediately. It makes you wonder whether it’s smart to just have it towed or you could drive it for days without issue.
